Recipe for Post # 62 Doggy Biscuits

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all purpose white flour
  • 1/4 cup corn meal
  • 1/4 parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 large or jumbo sized egg
  • 3/4 cup water

Preheat your oven to 325.  Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.  Knead together until thoroughly mixed.  This will be a little messy so use your hands.  Turn out on a floured surface and knead until smooth.  Roll or pat out to a thickness of 1/4 inch.  You can sprinkle with a little more parmesan at this point if you want to.  Use a cookie cutter or a knife and cut into small pieces, about two inches by one inch.  Place on cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and bake for 30 minutes.  Cool completely.  Store in airtight container in fridge for up to two weeks.
